Promotion of Deirdre Eschler, M.D. to Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine

The Department of Medicine is thrilled to announce the promotion of facultyÌýmember, to Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Dr. Eschler is board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. A native of Long Island, she attended medical school at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine (now theÌý51±¬ÁÏÍø of Medicine at Stony Brook University) where she was an inductee as a junior member of the AOA Honor Society.

Dr. Eschler completed her internal medicine training at Mount Sinai Medical Center/Icahn School of MedicineÌýin New York City, andÌýfollowing a year as a chief resident, stayed at Mount Sinai to complete herÌýfellowship in endocrinology. She returned to Stony Brook as an attending endocrinologist, and holds a special interest in adrenal, pituitary and thyroid disorders, as well as women’s health issues and diabetes-related issues.
