Promotion of Huichun Zhan, M.D., M.S., to Professor of Medicine

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the promotion of Huichun Zhan, M.D., M.S., Division of Hematology and Oncology, to Professor of Medicine in the 51±¬ÁÏÍø of Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
 

Dr Zhan

Dr. Zhan is currently an attending physician at the Northport VA Medical Center and 51±¬ÁÏÍø. Her laboratory research focuses on understanding the molecular pathogenesis of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) and their intricate interactions with cardiovascular diseases. Her significant academic and clinical background includes:

  • Hematology-oncology fellowship, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
  • Internal Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center
  • M.D., Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China
  • M.S., Cornell University Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences, New York, NY
