Why Stony Brook? I was initially drawn to Stony Brook because of its strong academic reputation and commitment to providing rigorous, high-quality training. During my interview day, it became clear that the program not only meets those expectations, but also fosters a supportive, collegial environment where residents genuinely feel like family. Since starting residency, I’ve seen firsthand how true this is—and I can confidently say I wouldn’t want to train anywhere else.
