Please join us in welcoming our recent additions to the faculty in the Division of Nephrology:

Dr. Fatima Sheikh joined the faculty in September 2021 as Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Sheikh is a graduate of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She trained in Internal Medicine at St. Michael’s Medical Center and Nephrology Fellowship at Northwell Health. Dr. Sheikh will be seeing patients in the Nephrology Inpatient Consultation Services and new patients at 26 Research Way, Stony Brook Kidney Center, with a focus on Onco-nephrology.

Jesse Pace Receives 2020 Provost's Award for Academic Excellence

Stony Brook University student, Jesse Pace, who has spent four years as an integral part of the Mallipattu Lab in the nephrology division, has been honored with the 2020 Provost's Award for Academic Excellence.

This award is given annually to a very select number of graduating seniors who have shown true academic excellence, not just in the classroom, but also through research, creative activities or through building a stronger academic community.
